Julmarknad: ASI's Christmas Market
This is one of my favorite events of the year!
Julmarknad, ASI’s Christmas Market, is the largest holiday weekend at the historic Turnblad Mansion! This magical festival features performances by Nordic music and dance groups, exceptional holiday shopping at ASI’s Museum Store, and the Julmarknad Handcraft Fair (with handmade or handcrafted goods by 30+ local artists). FIKA serves up a special European winter market inspired menu with Swedish meatballs, open-faced sandwiches, glögg, and hot cider. Stop by the Bake Sale to pick up cardamom bread, cookies, and more to bring home for the holidays, too. Families can create slöjd (handcraft) projects, take a break with story time with the Julmarknad Fairy or watch Christmas cartoons. Tomte and Santa may even stop by.
A full schedule of events will be posted on ASImn.org in November.
(includes museum admission to the holiday exhibits and Christmas market):
$10 adults, $5 ages 6–18, free for children 5 and under and ASI members.
No special museum passes or discounts will be accepted on Julmarknad weekend.
Julmarknad is held Saturday, December 5 (10 a.m. - 5 p.m.) and Sunday, December 6 (noon-5 p.m.)
